TalkBack + Chrome: with disabled buttons, menu says "in list 10 items" when there are 13 items |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome version: 68.0.3440.14 (Official Build) dev (32-bit) Android 8.1.0 Security Patch level: June 5, 2018 Accessibility Services version: 6.2.0.199471009 Beta APK GBoard 7.2.9 version 26720914 Pixel 1 phone signed in with Chromium account (non-corp) Steps to repro: # Enable TalkBack # Close out all tabs then the Chrome program completely using app switcher # Open Chrome again # Navigate to and open menu, note that two of the buttons are disabled # TalkBack says "in list 10 items" Expected: 10 items in list Actual: 13 items in list including the disabled buttons. Since the buttons are still in the swipe order, it seems confusing to say that there are only 10 items.

Removed some details from description above after considering the differences between items in list vs. indexes. Indexes are not currently a feature of Chrome.

It's probably not relevant but I wanted to add that these settings were on for all tests in this sweep: Font text set to Largest Display size set to Largest Large mouse pointer set to On Mono Audio set to On Captions set to On with text size set to very large

On the current stable version when I open the menu on the new tab page I hear in list 10 items as well. This is because the top icon row counts as a single list item (even though there are multiple focusable items in the row). TalkBack automatically determines the number of items in the list so I think this is a "WontFix". Laura/Dominic, please re-open if you disagree. |
