I've been seeing it as well for about a month. Chrome Version: 66.0.3359.181 OS Version: OS X 10.13.4 & 10.13.5 I believe that it only happens when you start your selection at the beginning of the line. If you omit the first character (e.g. the h in https), then it only copies the part you have selected.

Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 67.0.3396.79 using Mac 10.13.1 hence marking it as Untriaged, will update the bisect info soon. Thanks!

tommycli: could this be related to recent changes to the logic for when to choose to copy the entire URL to the clipboard? If not, feel free to assign back to me.

Seems very similar to 838541, which we fixed in 68 and elected to not merge back to 67. Folks - can you reproduce this in Canary? |
