new tab page's icons shrunk

Reported by lilma...@earthlink.net, Jun 7 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3452.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open a new tab
2.
3.

What is the expected behavior?
icons to be normal sized

What went wrong?
the icons on the new tab page got much smaller with the most recent update. I enclosed a couple of pictures, one of canary and the other my stable version of chrome.

Did this work before? Yes the version before today's update

Chrome version: 69.0.3452.0 Channel: canary
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

Tried deleting cache, deleting the thumbnail folder in my user account. Nothing I've tried helps the situration.

lilmagic@ Thanks for the issue.

Tested this issue on Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.13.3 on the latest Canary 69.0.3452.0 and unable to reproduce the issue by following the below steps.

1. Launched Chrome and opened a new tab.
2. Could observe the thumbnails as tiles and not as icons.
3. Checked on a new profile as well and no issues were observed.
Attached is the screen cast for reference.

Request you to retry the issue on a new chrome profile without any flags/extensions and update the thread with the observations.

Thanks..

Susan, thanks for the quick reply. Tried in a different account (had to be my admin. acct) and it worked as it should. After today's update the problem was still there, so I deleted and reinstalled and the problem is gone. Canary is back to normal.
Thanks again for the help.
