Page content moves after Tab Grid animation completion

Device: All

Steps to reproduce: 
1.) Open NPT
2.) Enter and exit Tab switcher 

Observed behavior: 
Google logo moves after animation completion (see attached gif)

Expected behavior: 
Page content should remain in place. Firefox does not have this issue for example.

Eugene, it's a little difficult to tell what's going on in your gif.  Is the issue here that the location of the doodle in the animated screenshot is different than the ultimate location of the doodle in the live NTP view?

Correct. The location of the doodle in animated screenshot is different than the ultimate location of the doodle in the live NTP view. The issue is not related to NTP by rather to the way how tab grid thumbnails are rendered.
