Chrome tab opening target activity in new task while handling deep link intent

Android Build Number (from "Android Settings > About Phone/Tablet"): 4.3

Steps to reproduce: My scenario is I have one application A which invokes application B in A's task.I have CCT implemented in application B when in CCT deep link intent is fired for which I have registered an activity C to handle that intent in application B Chrome creates new task of application B due to which I am not able to close CCT.ACtivity C is already present in A's task

Observed behavior: Another instance of activity C is getting opened in B's task

Expected behavior: Activity C should be opened in A's task.

Could you please update Chrome to latest version #67.0.3396.68 and check if you still face the issue? If so help us with a sample app or .apk file where you're seeing this issue, details of device and if possible attach a screencast for further triaging of the issue?
