telemetry: power_LoadTest.fast_gaia / login_GaiaLogin : 'profile error occurred' UI is visible during entire test. |
||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: R68-10718.4.0 OS: Chrome What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) run power_Load.fast_gaia or login_GaiaLogin What is the expected result? Test completes as expected w/o profile error UI dialog visible. What happens instead? profile error occurs and UI element is brought up (see attached) for the duration of the test until user hits 'ok'. For automated power testing this will impact power results. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. If this is a regression (i.e., worked before), please consider using the bisect tool (https://www.chromium.org/developers/bisect-builds-py) to help us identify the root cause and more rapidly triage the issue.

Is this on a local device or in the lab? Can you powerwash the device? It looks like versions went backwards somehow.

These devices are are local so powerwashing is an option and I'll perform that shortly. FYI, I replicated the failure on ~8 devices by imaging them with 10751.0.0 and running power_LoadTest followed by re-image to 10718.4.0 and attempting to run the same test (same profile).

The message is complaining that you went backwards in your imaging. You'd need to delete the profile between the 2 runs.

Thanks for explanation and workaround (powerwash). Sounds like this isn't uncommon and while I'm surprised I've not hit it before in testing I rarely test older versions. |
