Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Use chrome with Gmail ID "srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com", check in the "Manage Passwords" section, if Chrome browser's "Never saved" section has that particular ID listed - It won't show there. 2. Enter the email ID & pswd for "srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com". Hope Chrome will ask to save pswd for this ID - It won't 3. Do the same with a different Gmail ID, Chrome will ask to save the pswd & the "Auto sign-in" will work. But not for the particular Gmail ID "srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com" What is the expected behavior? The Chrome browser & passwords.google.com do not allow for adding the same email ID that was accidentally removed from the "saved passwords" section. It also has no feature to edit them. This creates a nightmare of having to enter lengthy passwords everytime, and a constant worry of whether the passwords.google.com may not save. What went wrong? Some years ago the password for the Gmail ID "srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com" - my most important Gmail ID was removed by me from the "saved passwords" section. The Gmail ID "srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com" didn't show up in the "Never saved" section, probably because there were other Gmail ID & pswds that were being saved. But Chrome browser from then onwards started to ignore asking to save pswd for this particular ID. There is no way to get Chrome browser to save this particular pswd again. Even the recent creation of passwords.google.com has not addressed this issue. In that domain, it shows the saved pswds and allows for removal of a particular email IDs. But once you remove, you cannot add the pswd for that particular email ID again. It also doesn't allow for editing saved paswds. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 66.0.3359.181 Channel: n/a OS Version: OS X 10.13.5 Flash Version: It is really difficult to explain this problem. If need be, I can speak and explain further if necessary. I am a committed Chrome user. But this feature is making me consider buying third party pswd apps, and migrating to other browsers. I hope you will be able to address it. Please reach out if you see the need.

Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 66.0.3359.181 using Mac 10.13.1 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched chrome 2. Navigated to https://www.google.com/gmail/ 3. Entered srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com 4. Clicked on save password. We were able to see that particular ID in "Manage Passwords" section. Attaching the screen shot of the same. @Reporter: Could you please have a look at the screen shot and let us know if we have missed anything in the process. Requesting you to check the same in a new profile with out any apps & extension, and please let us know if the issue still persists. Any further inputs from your end may help us in triaging the issue in a better way.

Thanks for the report. When you go to chrome://sync-internals/, what do you see as the value for the line "Username" (top-left). If this is srinivasyerramsetti@gmail.com, then Chrome syncs your passwords under this account. In that case, not saving the password is on purpose, as explained in https://dev.chromium.org/Home/chromium-security/security-faq#TOC-Why-doesn-t-the-Password-Manager-save-my-Google-password-if-I-am-using-Chrome-Sync-
