My main goal is to get the exact state of the buttons of the editor at the given position of the cursor in the contenteditable. Is it possible? Thanks! https://github.com/kolkov/angular-editor https://github.com/kolkov/angular-editor/blob/master/src/lib/angular-editor.component.ts#L218

Mark WontFix since it is application issue instead of Chrome. queryCommandState() checks computed style for containing element of selection start. Demo: https://jsfiddle.net/46mssfsc/2/ HTML editor application may want to hold style for inserting character and updates it by selection change or menu.
