Description:
Chrome has the ability to delete its browsing history for the past hour/day/week/month/all time. Except for all time, the other delete options only delete recent data, leaving old data intact.
The old data affects browsing predictions. If Chrome had the ability to delete old data but keep current, Chrome's autofill recommendations would better reflect the user's current browsing patterns.
This could be done by either manual selection, or an automatic "delete anything older than X time" setting.
Use case:
Chrome's autofill suggestions are based in part on the user's past browsing history. The patterns a user follows change over time. By having the ability to delete obsolete data, the suggestions provided by Chrome will better reflect what the user is seeking.
Motivation:
Keep autofill suggestions relevant to current work patterns.
Existing workarounds:
Delete all browsing history, then start fresh.
