spell check disabled itself after last update and can't switch it back on

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS armv7l 10452.96.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. spell word incorrectly
2. click to get correct spelling
3. doesn't work no option to correct spelling

What is the expected behavior?
it should correct spelling

What went wrong?
no idea you updated the system and now it doesn't work
