css column onclick event only works in first column when appending

Reported by thegamef...@gmail.com, May 30 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. create a div with more than 1 column
2. dynamically append (using createElement and appendChild) a div with a button/div/a/etc. in it and attach and on click event
3. click the button in the first column
4. click the button in the other columns

What is the expected behavior?
all the buttons in all the columns have their onclick event triggered

What went wrong?
none of the events get triggered apart from the ones attached to the buttons in the first column

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 66.0.3359.181 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.13.4
Flash Version:

See if it's fixed in Chrome 67 (force an update by running the web installer again if needed), in which case it might be a duplicate of bug 839008 .
