Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10452.85.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.158 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Chromebook is running 2. Attach or detach an external monitor 3. "Extending screen" "Removed display" notification - does not timeout or otherwise automatically go away. What is the expected behavior? This is an informational notification about something totally pointless. This is such meaningless notification, to force a user to acknowledge it is insane! (If at all) this message should popup momentarily and go away within <10 seconds. What went wrong? Every time I attach or detach an external display I must manually acknowledge this. It is a total time waste!! Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 66.0.3359.158 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10452.85.0 Flash Version:

It used to go away. Probably a regression when we integrated two notification systems.

Is there a milestone/release targeted yet for this bugfix? This is one of those little things which is like a pebble stuck in one's shoe...not crippling, but super annoying. As an external monitor user who is frequently to & from my desk. I am X'ing out this notification 10-20 times a day. Because it nags me not only when I disconnect, but also when I connect! Double-ding!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xryaZF1Z4w&feature=youtu.be The latest google chromebook promo video reminds me of this bug... except the issue is actually with ChromeOS! Every time I unplug/plugin a monitor to my chromebook I must manually X-out that "notification". The notification is absolutely 100% pointless. And the fact that I must manually acknowledge it...it does not auto-disappear.... This is insanity When is this going to be fixed?
