Issue descriptionExample URL: m.naver.com Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to m.naver.com or m.daum.net 2. Type '$' (or any other special character) in the search box. Observe the shape and size of '$' 3. Now type any alphabet. 4. Note that the size of '$' character changes. What is the expected behavior? Size and shape of the special character should not change. This is intentional as we prefer to pick a font that can render both the special character and the following character(s). Perhaps this is not desirable during input. Over to editing team for their input.

Assign to drott@ to hear about font expert's opinion. Q: Can we use only one font for all characters in input box? Q: If yes, how to pick the one which should cover all characters. Q: ... another idea to fix a font during editing From editing perspective, it is OK to change font for based on input text since fonts are specified by the page (see below for font-family in daum.net). BTW, I could not reproduce the behavior on Win10. font-fmaily used in input box in daum.net are: - AppleSDGothicNeo-Regular, - 'Malgun Gothic', = '맑은 고딕', -dotum, - '돋움', - sans-serif |
