This bug was seen while using a Samsung Galaxy S9, which allows you to remove and reinsert the SD card without turning off the phone.
1. Turn on the downloads location change flag.
2. Download something to the SD card. See it appear in downloads home.
3. Without turning off chrome, swap the SD card.
4. Bring up downloads home
Expected:
For the files on the SD card to stop being listed in downloads home.
Actual:
I saw the files in downloads home. If I tapped on them, I got an error that the file wasn't found,(the error message "can't open file" is good, but the file should disappear instead). If we restart chrome, the files did not show.
Continuing the scenario:
5. Swap the SD card (with chrome still up) back to the old SD card.
6. Open Downloads home and try to open one of the files that was saved to this SD card in step 2
Expected:
The file should open, since the SD card with it is back again.
Actual:
Error message, "can't open file".
