One question about how to handle shortcut with only modifiers (e.g. Launcher (Search) and Caps Lock (Search + Alt). How do we handle them? Consuming all the modifiers?

For other shortcuts, we still want to route them to the correct target, right? e.g. Ctrl + Overview key ([]||), will take a screenshot.

We got go-ahead from UI review today to add functionality of filtering by modifiers. with M69 being super packed - slotting this feature to M70.

I guess we do not support this feature.

Tao, if we won't support this feature, then let's close this bug for now, and reopen if our decision ever changes.
Status: Untriaged (was: WontFix)
It saddens me that this was closed. c#4 indicated a go ahead from UI review, but there was not really any further update since May 29th.

Reopening for reconsideration.

hi Ian,
We looked into this with UX and Eng folks. Adding this functionality is not a trivial task. We also see increase in usage of new KSH which is not warranting further investment in functionality just yet.
I'm going to keep it open but with no milestone assigned. I'll monitor fb to see if we need to prioritize.
thanks,
Olga
Hey Olga,

The loss of modifier key press showing shortcuts associated to the keys is pretty substantial (for me) compared to the prior shortcut helper. I really hope deprioritizing this can be reconsidered.

I personally find the new KSH less useful than the old helper and only find myself accidentally triggering it and instead, preferring to Ctrl-F on https://support.google.com/pixelbook/answer/7503852?hl=en.

Thanks,
Ian
