Can't delete files in Images folder created by Android apps

Project Member Reported by dsm@google.com, May 25 2018

Issue description

If I edit images in Photoshop Express or Snapseed, they are saved in the Images/Snapseed or Images/Photoshop folder. From within the File Manager, I can't delete these files. From within the Android App, I can't specify where the files are saved.

Expected behavior:
1. "Save as" to enable placement of files wherever I'd like
2. Full file management of Android-created directories

Hi! Thanks for filing a bug :)

The Android files in the Media Views (Images, etc) are currently read-only from the File Manager; this is WAI. They don't represent the underlying file system, just a collection of files with this type. We are working on exposing the Android file system and making these editable, this is in progress and will be available in M69.

As for your question regarding "Save as", I think we have plans to use the native ChromeOS file picker in Android, but maybe Weifang can confirm :)
The Save as dialog enhancements are a longer term goal and may have dependencies on how individual apps have integrated with the Android file system.
