[User Feedback - Stable] Logging Into Twitter Creates Infinite Loop

Project Member Reported by craigtumblison@chromium.org, May 25 2018

Issue description

Chrome Version: 66.0.3359.181
OS: Windows

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Be located in the EU.
(2) Attempt to sign into Twitter.
(3) Sign in loops instead of completing.

We're seeing a handful of user reports that signing in may be broken on Twitter for EU users. At least a few have mentioned that a GDPR checkbox may be part of the loop (see tweets).

Note: Updating the component to Passwords as this may be related to the "auto sign in" option (per the first tweet above).

Adding 'RBS' just to asses the priority, feel free to change if required.

Adding "RBS" label per comment #3.

Pls note we already cut M67 Stable RC for Desktop.

Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 66.0.3359.181 and latest beta 67.0.3396.56 using Windows 10.i.e; Successfully logged in first attempt only. As per comment#0 this seems to issue only in EU region. Hence adding TE-NeedsTriageHelp label for further help in triaging from dev team.

Thanks!

+ahemery to see if we can repro
Cannot reproduce locally on Linux on 66.0.3359.170, will try to do it on a windows machine when I get access to one.
(Meaning not before tonight CEST time)
I failed to reproduce it on Win. The API wasn't called. May be they disabled it after the bug reported?
I think it's not a Chrome bug anyway.
I agree with Vasilii and suggest to mark this as WontFix.
Thank you everyone for taking a look. We won't consider this as blocker for M67 stable release, pls mark this as WontFix per comment #13 and #14.
