Issue descriptionChrome Version: 68.0.3438.3 (Official Build)(64-bit)Revision afd1806837c9d50e92124fb7456f12611681e652-refs/branch-heads/3438@{#6} OS: Mac(10.12.6, 10.13.1, 10.13.5). Precondition: Enable “Emoji Context Menu” flag from chrome://flags What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch Chrome and navigate to a content editable text box (Ex: Gmail Compose window, Hangouts, http://rot13.com/). 2. Right click on content editable text box and select ‘Emoji Symbols’ option from context menu (Emoji picker window will open). 3. Click on the Expanded view icon on the top right corner of the emoji picker window. 4. Now open NTP and perform some action on it and observe. Actual: ‘Emoji picker window’ doesn’t get dismissed on performing any action on page. Expected: ‘Emoji picker window’ should get dismissed on performing any action on page. This is a Mac specific non-regression issue, seen from M-67 series as ‘Context Menu Magic - Fast Access to Emojis’ feature is introduced from build # 67.0.3389.0 NOTE: This issue is not reproducible on Win(7,8,8.1,10) & Linux (14.04 LTS). Kindly review the attached screen-cast for reference. Thank you.

This is a mac browser UX or IME issue, not a blink emoji rendering one. Updating component accordingly.

The Emoji & Symbols menu item brings up the native Mac Emoji picker. We don't have control of the UI after launch. In the expanded view, the native picker is not attached to any text area. It appears that going from collapsed -> expanded -> collapsed retains the expanded view's behavior, to leave the picker open and unattached to any text area. |
