[MacViews] Background tabs flashing during tab switch |
|||
Issue descriptionVersion: 68.0.3434.0 MacViews. I had a window open, ~30 tabs. Lets label them T1 through T30. I was on T1. I switched to ~T25. Then I started using ctr + shift + tab to go backwards through the tabs. I was seeing the contents of T1 flash in between [e.g. T25 switching to T24]. This seems to only happen when the new tab does not have its content cached [or possibly even unloaded?. I repeated this ~20 times, but then all my tabs were loaded so I wasn't able to repro anymore.

Probably *not* related. I'm seeing your report is for Chrome 68.0.3434.0. But my reported issue in bug 845968 starts in 68.0.3438.0. Sorry for the spam :(

No worries, I thought it was related too.

I'm not sure if this was the same problem I was seeing 2 days ago. I just hit this again, but what I'm observing is that the contents-area is transparent while I switch between tabs [e.g. I'm seeing the window *beneath* the Chrome window].

There's something really weird going on. I just hit this again. When I closed tabs, I saw a flash of a gmail tab with a single conversation bubble open. I checked my gmail tabs [both background tab in window I'm closing tabs in, and foreground tab of other window], but neither had a conversation bubble open. I then continued closing tabs and continued seeing a flash of a gmail tab with a single conversation bubble open. Huh??

I took a video. I was able to capture the issue described in the opening comment. [but not c#5 or c#4]

This should be taken care of by using a single ui::Compositor ( issue 840173 ), which has been landing and reverting for a while.

Single ui::Compositor has finally stuck! |
