Google Chrome 68.0.3431.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)
Firmware Version Google_Samus.6300.276.0
Using screenshots as a proxy for printing here.
Steps to repro on Chrome OS:
# Enable High Contrast in Accessibility > High Contrast Mode and select Inverted Color
# Navigate to any website besides G Suite
# Take a screenshot of any content
# Turn off High Contrast Mode. The screenshot is reflective of the normal UI, that is, it is not inverted.
# Navigate to any G Suite site such as docs.google.com.
# Enable High Contrast mode again
# Take a screenshot of the doc and disable High Contrast again
Expected: doc page screenshot is reflective of the normal UI
Actual: doc page screenshot is reflective of the high contrast settings
The main issue is that a user reports if you were print from Docs with high contrast enabled, the printer uses a ton of black ink making it white text on a black background. If you print any other page, the colors are not inverted even with high contrast mode on.
This happens on both Chrome OS and Chrome on Windows. However, the High Contrast extension is integrated into Chrome OS while on Windows it is a separate extension. Therefore, I'm opening this Chrome OS bug as part of our assessment and filing the Docs/Drive part of it internally with G Suite.
