MotionMark tests infinite loop on Android

Project Member Reported by enne@chromium.org, May 23 2018

Issue description

Running motion mark on my N4 at ToT (560845), Leaves, Leaves 2, and CSS Bouncing tagged Images all display nothing and never complete. I only tried tests in the first two suites.

See: https://rawgit.com/WebKit/webkit/master/PerformanceTests/MotionMark/developer.html

It appears that nothing has changed in animometer in 6 months in the WebKit repository so this is something on the Chrome side that has changed. This was working when I benchmarked https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/1012187 so has broken in the last month or so.

And by infinite loop, I mean that the test never completes. The browser compositor is still responsive and nothing appears in the adb log.

The inspector log is full of: raw.githubusercontent.com/WebKit/webkit/master/PerformanceTests/MotionMark/tests/master/resources/inspector100.png:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

and similar lines for other resources. Oddly, Linux handles this just fine and the links work properly. I tried a Pixel and that was fine. Maybe it's just my N4?

Does running from https://browserbench.org/MotionMark/developer.html make any difference?

Comment 4 by enne@chromium.org, May 23 2018

Yeah, that's what I'm running it from. Either selecting those tests individually or selecting the whole suite, it runs into the same issue.
