Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10682.0.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3431.0 Safari/537.36 Platform: 10682.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel pyro Example URL: https://www.youtube.com/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open a youtube video 2. it won't play the video 3. open the same URL in incognito mode and it'll work What is the expected behavior? It should play the video, as above said What went wrong? The video does not play. I can scroll the frames, though. I know this issue sometimes has come back in the last five years. I suppose it may be related to authentication, since it works in incognito mode. Have a look at the txt from console. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://www.youtube.com' is therefore not allowed access. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes the previous one, it still works in stable Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 68.0.3431.0 Channel: dev OS Version: 10682.0.0 Flash Version: 30.0.0.85 the youtube android app works fine on the same device

Nothing to do with HTTP auth.

I can't reproduce this on my local machine, but it would surprise me if it were somehow pyro-specific. Have you experienced this error on any other platform? +toyoshim@, yhirano@: Perhaps y'all have ideas?

+rhalavati@: FYI.

Reproducible with Out-of-Renderer-CORS on Linux. Not reproducible without Out-of-Renderer-CORS on Linux. luca.bosi@, are you enabling "Out of blink CORS" (a.k.a. #out-of-blink-cors) via chrome://flags or command line flags?
,
May 22 2018
Hi, Out of blink CORS is set to default. The flag, in the dev channel, is CORS handling logic is moved out of blink. – Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android #out-of-blink-cors I'll have a look if enabling/disabling the flag changes anything

I can confirm that, once the flag is enabled, youtube videos do play. I suppose that by default out-of-blink-cors is disabled.

I've had a look here https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=736308&desc=2 and I can say that, while enabling the flag let me play youtube video, I have faced other major issues with a webmail service and gmail itself crashed several times, so it's not a viable solution

Assigning to yhirano@ who requested feedback for further triage

Thank you. Please change the setting back to "Default". Do you have any extensions installed? Can you try with disabling them? Can you provide a net-internals log? https://www.chromium.org/for-testers/providing-network-details
,
May 29 2018
Here it is. I had previously disabled every extension. Btw, these are the flags applied (file attached). Thanks.

I cannot find https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/id in the netlog attached at #12. I see some https://*.google.video.com/* requests in the log, but nothing seem CORS requests. +Blink>Media>Video Can you try again with a fresh profile?
,
May 29 2018
I hope these further logs can help. The first one is with the flag set to default, the other one with cors enabled. I can confirm that browsing as guest (which is by far the freshest profile I can figure) the issue is still there.

The only error that refers to CORS is ,"SERVICE_WORKER_FALLBACK_FOR_CORS":29 Has it got to do with PWA's implementation or am I completely missing the point?

> #15 Let me confirm: - You observe the issue on your profile. - You don't observe the issue on incognito. - You observe the issue on the guest profile. Is that right? > #17 That string looks like a constant definition for the log.

Yes, I confirm everything and the issue is still here on the newer build 68.0.3437.0

Are you using any proxies?
,

No proxies. But now I have moved to the beta channel and the issue is not present any longer.
