Crostini fresh-install blank Terminal screen

Chrome version: (copy from chrome://version)
OS: 68.0.3431.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)

Repro steps:
1. Clean install ChromeOS
2. Upgrade to Dev Channel
3. Follow go/crostini-ui-instructions
4. Open Terminal

Expected: Linux CLI running in Terminal application
Actual: Blank black screen with no input in Terminal application.

Ditto for terminal application behavior; also had a chrome crash/restart at the end of the Linux VM/container download/install.

This does not appear to be a duplicate of 843682. This is specifically about the Linux Terminal application – whereas that issue is about crosh. For me, crosh tab in Chrome still works.

they're the same exact code

you're probably running into  issue 845001  or one of the other ones.  the Termina VM is going through some pain.
