Can you please clarify what is "Legacy Browser Support"? Is this a Chrome extension? Is it updated by Google Update? The ADMX file in the link only affects Google Update. So that means if the named software is not updated via Google Update, it cannot/should not be controlled by that group policy.

the Legacy browser support is made of two pieces, one is an extension, and the other is a "native code part" installed with MSI installer: http://dl.google.com/legacy-browser-support/en/legacybrowsersupport_en_x64.msi or http://dl.google.com/legacy-browser-support/en/legacybrowsersupport_en.msi after install is updated using google update: appid="{00EBA25B-97AB-475A-BD68-C3B6C9E94260}" in this logs there is the update from 5.1 to 5.3 GoogleUpdate.log https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Vobua8UUxV8vWsYL-qFN7kue6hL9MJ_z C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Update\Install\{70000B42-5511-4ADC-AE06-18AFEF51DD50}\legacybrowsersupport_5.3.0.0_en_x64.msi.log https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Iebsaq7IXvT_Q3Bq4P1jleV0UvFTqbAW

Correct. What this request is about is to add a new section to the ADM[X] templates for Google Update for the AppId of the legacy browser support product similar to other products listed there already so that users can control update rates for it independently of the global AU config.

pastarmovj: This is fairly simple to do. Take a look at cl/169416958 and cl/169833134. The comments in the first CL explain what needs to be done. Cheers.
