Safari: FAIL
Firefox: FAIL
IE/Edge: FAIL
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. if i load google.co.uk or any other google related website it shows in Arabic. I have tried creating new windows users and same issue. I am in the UK and always have been. This issue only occured for last week or so.
My region, language and locale settings in windows are English United Kingdom
I have tried going to google.co.uk > settings and enforcing UNITED KINGDOM which works for that browser only but then if i load another google site (ie groups.google.com) it is then in arabic. This is cross browser so i cant blame browser settings.
this machine is in a Data Centre in London (its not a VPN IP) its a physical dell server with windows 10 installed on it that my staff use for virtual desktop access for work. IPWHOIS still shows UK (as i thought this could of been the issue).

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10 using chrome reported version #66.0.3359.181 and latest canary #68.0.3436.0. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Launched chrome browser and opened google.co.uk. 2. Observed that the google related websites opened in english language only. reporter@ - Could you please try out few steps for trouble shooting: 1. Navigate to chrome://settings/languages and check the languages added there. 2. Please check if Arabic language is been added there and at the top of all languages. 3. If so, then please remove the language from chrome://settings/languages by clicking on "remove" option at the 3-dots menu beside that language. Note: Check this issue on latest canary #68.0.3436.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Thanks...!!

"This is cross browser so i cant blame browser settings." This is not a Chrome bug so marking as Won't Fix. You should check your Google account language preferences (https://myaccount.google.com/preferences?pli=1#localization) and if the problem persists, click the bottom right corner on the Google Search page ("Settings") and choose the bottom option ("Send Feedback") so the right team can triage it. |
