Chrome Version: 68.0.3432
Chrome OS Version: 10684.0
Chrome OS Platform: Chell
Network info: Local ethernet
(This is a general UI problem since at least 65, though)
Steps To Reproduce:
(1) During OOBE, after choosing the network, or on the login screen, click on bottom-right corner
(2) Click on "Connected to Ethernet" and "Ethernet\nConnected".
(3) Disable "Configure IP address automatically"
(4) Enter some fields
Expected Result:
I can change all fields without interference.
Actual Result:
It's flaky. Sometimes my values get reset, sometimes no values show up at all when I close and reopen the screen.
I'm guessing that some event handling mechanisms don't respect manual IP config and override the UI even though they shouldn't.
How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Sometimes.
What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?
It's just annoying. Eventually I'm able to set it.
