Beta version causes camera problems with corp Hangouts and Hangouts Meet

Project Member Reported by nweininger@google.com, May 16 2018

Issue description

Chrome Version: 67.0.3396.41 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
Chrome OS Version: 10575.32.0 (Official Build) beta-channel eve
Chrome OS Platform: Pixelbook (Google corp laptop)
Network info: Several (Google Home at home, Google-A at work)

Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add
the label below).

Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Log in with google.com account
(2) Open a new corp Hangouts or Hangouts Meet video call.
(3) Accept camera and microphone permissions.

Expected Result: Video feed from Pixelbook camera shows in Hangouts window.

Actual Result: No video feed and Hangouts/Meet window has weird screen artifacts (sample screenshot attached)

How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?) Always

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it? Can't use corp Hangouts or Hangouts Meet properly from laptop; no workaround known

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or
log if possible.

The weird thing is that this does *not* occur with personal Hangouts on my personal account on the same machine; there the camera video feed shows up normally. Rebooting multiple times did not fix the problem; neither did clearing cache; neither did wiping all local data, re-enrolling the device and acquiring a new corp cert. I tried switching back to stable channel in settings to see if that would fix it, but switching to stable does not seem to have actually caused the Chrome OS version on the device to change back. Techstop recommended switching back to stable since they only support stable, but I figured I should file a bug to flag the issue with beta in any case.
