Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open Chrome and move to external display 2. Sign in with a G Suite managed account 3. Browser window doesn't accept clicks indicating a hidden modal/popover 4. Move window to laptop primary display and fullscreen the window to trigger redraw and modal appears 5. Move window back to external and fullscreen the window and modal may disappear again 6. On certain hybrid Optimus systems specific external displays will ALWAYS lose the modal in fullscreen What is the expected behavior? Modal is always visible/retriggered so user can complete account linking. What went wrong? The modal isn't visible or disappears in certain circumstances. I've attached the output of nvidia-bug-report.sh if you need to check the display layout and VDPAU and OpenGL features available and in-use. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 66.0.3359.139 Channel: stable OS Version: Ubuntu 18.04 Flash Version: We've seen this on multiple Dell systems, with 16.04 and 18.04 and the last few Chrome versions, all have Nvidia and/or Intel graphics with the nvidia drivers. This particular test system has 18.04 and nvidia-390 (very close to latest) and has the PRIME option enabled for NVIDIA (Performance Mode) in nvidia-settings.

This is unrelated to sync and seems a purely UI issue, so adjusting component to UI for further triage.

Thank you for providing information... As per comments #0 tried to create G Suite account and we are unable to test this issue, as for normal gmail account this is asking for subscription fee,so we are unable to test this issue. hence forwarding this issue to Inhouse Team to have a look on this issue. Thanks..!

espoelstra@ For better understanding of this issue could you please help us with screen-cast which explains the issue. Thank You...

I'll see if I can record a screencast to demonstrate. I was also able to reproduce this on an Intel GPU only (no Optimus/Nvidia) Dell XPS 13 (9360) through a docking station, and I'm planning to test again shortly through a "direct" HDMI/DP connection instead of through the dock. The behavior that I'm seeing is if the Chrome window is on or is moved to a secondary display after I click "Sign In" from the first start page of a new Chrome profile, the modal dialog doesn't display until I move the window to the internal laptop display and resize it. It will remain visible if I move it to the external display UNTIL I resize/fullscreen it, at which point it disappears again until I move it to the internal display and resize. I'll see if I can capture a video of the behavior as I've seen it on a few different machines now.

Is there a place to upload the video file as it is fairly large even though I've compressed it?

Scratch that, figured Youtube is good a place as any. https://youtu.be/wnlUio5iZbM

Unable to reproduce this issue on debian Rodete with chrome #66.0.3359.139 as per provided video in comment #8 Attaching the screen-cast for reference espoelstra@ Could you please look into it and let us know your observations

That's really interesting! Are you using a HiDPI monitor or does the machine have a built in HiDPI display? I noticed that in Ubuntu 18.04 the default scaling is 200% in the "Displays" settings, I will go through and test at 100% and see whether that or the accessibility settings for "Large Text" might be affecting it. Are you running under Wayland or Xorg in your testing? Possibly of interest is the fact that I'm using the proprietary nvidia-390 driver package since the laptops have discrete GPUs, I can try removing that and just using Intel/Nouveau and see whether that makes a difference. I believe Debian tends to discourage proprietary binary blogs so they probably don't have the Nvidia drivers in their repositories by default. I also checked chrome://gpu and I'm not sure if there is anything there of use.
