We currently have firmware builders on many, many branches which also have branched copies of cbuildbot.

Perhaps if we examine what the builders actually do, we could create simple builders/recipes/whatever that do the same thing without branching the build infrastructure.

This would make them much easier to manage.

Factory builders are more integrated with standard ChromeOS builds, and so are unlikely to be as easily recreated, but factory branches have shorter lifespans.
