Chrome stops responding (freezes) - Windows 10.0.16299 (NOT April update)

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3429.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chrome with some tabs
2. 
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
Browser should NOT freeze

What went wrong?
Browser freezes (Not responding)

Crashed report ID: 

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? Yes 68.0.3427.0 

Chrome version: 68.0.3429.0  Channel: canary
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: 

1.Also happens in 68.0.3428.0
2.There's a Chrome process alive in Task Manager
3.Audio continues to play (if it played before)
4.No mini-dump
5.No debug.log

Repeated with clean profile and ONLY gmail tab open on 68.0.3430.0
After about 20 minutes got Not responding / freeze.
No crash file

At the time the problem occurred I was running a computational task that was consuming 80% of CPU and 200MB of memory. Maybe this is what caused surfacing of the error. 
Also I noticed, that with gmail tab open the error was occurring much sooner. This is again perhaps of the fact that gmail tab consumes a lot of memory and CPU.
