Reported by imb.br...@gmail.com, May 12 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10323.67.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.209 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open PDF file

3. printed sheet has pixelated text

What is the expected behavior?
Printing text files or webpages, the physical printed sheet is as clear as on screen. However, printing PDF files the text is very pixelated.

What went wrong?
The PDF image should be the same quality as the digital file, but it is pixelated.

Did this work before? No

Chrome version: 65.0.3325.209 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 10323.67.0
Flash Version:

Components: Internals>Printing Services>CloudPrint
Does this happen with a particular PDF file, or all PDF files?

Is there any dithering going on with things like barcodes?

Comment 4 by imb.br...@gmail.com, May 23 2018

There is a slight quality loss with all PDF files, but the ones I previously mentioned were all files scanned in via the HP embedded Google Drive document uploader.

Is there a sample PDF you can share? What printer model are you using?

paolof: Isn't Chrome just uploading the PDF straight to the server? Does the server do any processing before sending it down to the printer? Assuming the printer is directly talking to the server.

Please provide the printer ID also. It can be found on https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers, click on the printer, then on "details".

thestig: the processing on the server is minimal for reformatting purposes only. No quality change.
