Is there any dithering going on with things like barcodes?

There is a slight quality loss with all PDF files, but the ones I previously mentioned were all files scanned in via the HP embedded Google Drive document uploader.

Is there a sample PDF you can share? What printer model are you using? paolof: Isn't Chrome just uploading the PDF straight to the server? Does the server do any processing before sending it down to the printer? Assuming the printer is directly talking to the server.

Please provide the printer ID also. It can be found on https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers, click on the printer, then on "details". thestig: the processing on the server is minimal for reformatting purposes only. No quality change.
