Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.40 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install "Source Han Super OTC" from https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-han-super-otc. 2. Set a font (say, Source Han Sans SC) as the default font. 3. Open a web page that uses a default font. What is the expected behavior? The font should be invoked. What went wrong? The font is not being used, leaving the fallback handling to Windows itself. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes not sure, probably 64 or 63 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 67.0.3396.40 Channel: beta OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: The fonts still work in notepad (and everything else), so probably it is not Windows's fault. It might be easier to test this with the "Advanced Font Config" extension, as it provides font previews. Set the default sans and serif to a sans and a serif from the pack; if they look like the same then something is broken.

Thanks for filing the issue! Tried checking the issue on reported chrome version 67.0.3396.40 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched chrome 2. Navigated to https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-han-super-otc 3. Downloaded the zip file and extracted it. 4. Navigated to Chrome://extensions -> Turned ON Developer mode 5. Tried loading the extension. It says Manifest file missing. Attaching screen shot for reference. @arthur: As we are not very sure about the process to be followed in order to Install "Source Han Super OTC" Could you please let us know if above mentioned steps were correct. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful in triaging the issue further in a better way.

Super Han Super OTC is a set of fonts. You download all three parts of the zip archive, extract the ttc and install it via Windows. I am using the Noto+Source one by the way.

Tried following the process mentioned in comment#3 i.e., downloaded and unzipped the file -> then opened that particular folder which has three files in it out of which two are .txt files and another is .md file. As we are not very clear about the statement "extract the ttc and install it via Windows" in your C#3, Could you please help us in elaborating it. Checked by clicking those three files in https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-han-super-otc yet we aren't able to download them individually. @Reporter: Could you please provide us with sample test file, which helps us to triage the issue in a better way. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful. Thanks!

Oh, my bad, they are not zipping the TTC files any more. Go to releases and grab the SourceHanNotoCJK one. (Do I really need to read a README and install instructions for some testing folks…?)

Tried following the steps in Font installation instructions from the provided URL, and checked by adding the extension "Advanced Font settings" as mentioned in comment#0, yet in options we are unable to set serif and sans-serif as those fonts weren't available in the drop down menu. As were are unable to install the fonts and test the issue from our end hence adding label "TE-NeedsTriageHelp" and requesting some one from "Blink>Fonts" team to have a look into this and help in further triaging the issue. Thanks!

Have you made any changes to windows font matching lately drott?

I was using an existing installation of the said SuperOTC that used to work a while ago on Windows 10 (15063+) with Chrome (was 57/58, last working 62-64?). Uninstalling current copy and downloading the latest release of SourceHanNotoCJK.ttc to re-test. It's going to take quite a while given the network... The fonts themselves require Windows 10 "Creator's Update" or newer.

Reinstalled the lastest release of these fonts. Font entries visible for both advanced (caclkomlalccbpcdllchkeecicepbmbm) and vanilla dropdown selection, but symptom persists. (I didn't know there is a preview for the vanilla thing too!)

Just saw a zhihu (think Quora in Chinese crossed with /pol/) question about Chrome 65+ being no longer able to use Source Han Sans at https://www.zhihu.com/question/279192971/answer/407083757. The asker does not specify what kind of installation was used, but it does open up the possibility that this is not a SuperOTC problem.
