The options Standard and HTML are not showing up due to Evangelism
Reported by marklbra...@gmail.com, Mar 5 2009 Back to list
Chrome Version 2.0.166.1
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 3:
    Firefox 3: OK
         IE 7: OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to list an item for sale in eBay
2. The page where the item description should be entered generates only full HTML code, not the
easy-interface which works in other browsers.
3.

What is the expected result?

What happens instead?

Michael, Can you create a reduction for this?

Hi mark.bra...@btinternet.com, could you provide more detail steps on how to reproduce this issue?

I tried to sell an item and get this "CREATE YOUR LISTING" page, but on my page the field "Describe
the item you're selling" is empty be default. I tried to click on "Preview", "Save Draft", or change
options in "Listing Designer", no error happens.

I tested in both 1.0.154.48 (Official Build 9043) and 2.0.168.0 (Developer Build 10994).
Hi - the problem is that under Describe the item you're sellingAdd or remove options | Get help there's no
option when eBay loads in Chrome to use the design buttons (bold, underline, fonts, colours etc) to format
the item description. In FF or IE7, the buttons are automatically there. Does that help define it a bit more
closely?

Best.

Looks like this is Evangelism. When I spoof Chrome to act as FF3, I can see the
options for Standard and HTML. Please see the attached image.

Evangelism issues will not block the milestone 4 release so I am moving these
to mstone:x. We should query for open evangelism issues independent of
milestone.

Closing old evangelism issue. I'm sure Ebay has fixed their website, though I haven't checked.
