MacViewsBrowser: double clicking in omnibox clears the omnibox

Project Member Reported by kainino@chromium.org, May 9 2018

Issue description

Chrome Version: 68.0.3425.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit)
OS: macOS 10.13.4

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Deselect omnibox then double click in it
(2) Repeat until the problem manifests

What is the expected result?
The "word" you double click on should be selected.

What happens instead?
The entire omnibox gets cleared.

[mac bug triage] I'm having trouble reproducing this. Can you provide a screencast? Thanks!
Each time I move the mouse to the omnibox, I double click.

After it clears the omnibox, I'm using Esc to restore it.

Oh. I forgot to mention that in addition to:
#views-browser-windows
I also have
#omnibox-ui-hide-steady-state-url-scheme-and-subdomains
enabled.
I wonder if that's what's causing the issue.
(I actually forgot I had that enabled. I don't remember enabling it.)

Ah, I had it enabled for dogfood. Now that I realized I had it, I found the right bug. Marking duplicate.
