Issue descriptionChrome Version : 66.0.3359.139 OS Version: OS X 10.13.4 URLs (if applicable) : Other browsers tested: NA What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open a page 2. Copy some text to clipboard 3. Use Command + L to select omnibox, then quickly paste command + v text. It should autocomplete a google query but instead uses the current page URL. What is the expected result? What happens instead of that? Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36

ajdunn83@ Thanks for the issue. Tested this issue on Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.12.6 on the reported version 66.0.3359.139 and the latest Canary 68.0.3426.0 and unable to reproduce the issue by following the below steps. 1. Launched Chrome and navigated to nytimes.com. 2. Copied some text to clipboard and hit CMD-L and pasted the text. 3. Can observe that the text is showing as Google query. Attached is the screen cast for reference. Request you to retry the issue on a new chrome profile without any flags/extensions and update the thread with the observations. Thanks...

This looks like crbug.com/825318, a fix for which was put in 68 and merged to 67, but not 66. Is there any chance that you could try to duplicate in the beta build?
