Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. save details in chrome 2. go to inline form 3. double click or start to type in the input fields which have autocomplete="off" and autofill="off" but chrome still populates these fields (name, email, phone number) What is the expected behavior? this shouldn't happen if the specified inputs have this turned off What went wrong? Im pretty sure you are ignoring the input rules as part of a browser update but would like to request that this is changed back as this is causing issues on our site and if people with for the auto fill to work then they wouldn't turn it off within the inputs. Did this work before? Yes Chrome version: 66.0.3359.139 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version:

@Reporter: Please provide sample URL/test file which contains both autocomplete="off" and autofill="off". This would help in further triaging of the issue. Thanks!

Able to reproduce this issue on reported version 66.0.3359.139 and latest canary 68.0.3429.0 using Mac 10.13.3, windows 10 and Ubuntu 17.10. This issue is seen from introduction of autofill suggestion in M-63. Hence considering this issue as Non-Regression and marking as Untriaged. Thanks!

Good morning, I join the group of developers asking to give us a way to disable this feature. It's absolutely destructive, I develop online web-managment softwares, and all my clients are forced to continuosly manually empty the input fields (eg. when they add a new user) because Chrome populates the forms every time, and they risk to insert wrong data by mistake. I want, as a developer, to completely disable the feature on a form, this was possible before.

I think the priority of this should be higher. It breaks fundamental tools constantly forcing you to browser to be able to complete a form correctly.

Is there an update on this or a timeline as to when this is going to be fixed?

@ durgapandey@chromium.org @ sindhu.chelamcherla@chromium.org Is there any update on the timescale for this to be resolved as this is impacting our business. Also this issue has been open for 7 months with no clear answers to any resolution plans. |
