Crostini: Gimp cannot open display

Issue description

Chrome version: (copy from chrome://version)
OS: Chrome 68.0.3416.0

Repro steps:
1. Install gimp in crostini
2. run 'gimp'

Expected: 
Actual: "Cannot open display:"

LOAD   = Reflects whether the unit definition was properly loaded.
ACTIVE = The high-level unit activation state, i.e. generalization of SUB.
SUB    = The low-level unit activation state, values depend on unit type.

Was this after a Chrome crash? We have a known issue where after a Chrome crash you need to log out/in. Please assign back with answer.

You are right! Although... I don't remember having a chrome crash... maybe I did.

I tried chrome:restart, nothing happened.
I then logged out, thinking "no way this can work", but it did work, I'm running gimp now :O
