Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create simple select with 2 or more options 2. Run performance tool 3. Start selecting the options What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? The browser start to lag between the selections and if it is performed on mobile device, it cause major cpu spikes and heating. This is caused by endless function calls after selecting an item. Did this work before? Yes Chrome v64 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 66.0.3359.139 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Tested on Chrome v62/63/64/65/66 and Canarys. Only latest versions 65/66 have this issue.

Able to reproduce the issue on reported version 66.0.3359.139 & on latest chrome canary 68.0.3423.0 using Windows 10,Mac OS 10.13, Ubuntu 14.04.
