Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. search google for "chrome extensions developer mode" and click top result (see one-line summary) 2. Go to second answer under General, which says: 3. Click the Chrome menu icon and select Extensions from the Tools menu. Ensure that the "Developer mode" checkbox in the top right-hand corner is checked. Now you can reload extensions, load an unpacked directory of files as if it were a packaged extension, and more. What is the expected behavior? I expect to see a checkbox for Developer Mode in the top right corner of chrome://extensions/ What went wrong? Instead it's a slider button with no clear indication per se of whether Developer Mode has been selected or not. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 66.0.3359.139 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: There should be popup tool tips when you float the cursor over the slider in either position indicating its current status (i.e. "Developer Mode is Disabled" or "Developer Mode is Enabled"), AND update the FAQ to reflect the current UI.

This is two separate issues: updating the documentation is one issue, while adding a tooltip on the extensions page is another.

As per comment #0, it seems to be a feature request for adding a tool tip at chrome e://extensions developer mode when floating the cursor over the slider in either position indicating its current status (i.e. "Developer Mode is Disabled" or "Developer Mode is Enabled"). Hence, marking it as untriaged for further inputs from dev team. Thanks...!!

It's about wording on https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/faq page. |
