Certain keys don't always work in Chrome (m, k, and -) on MacOS and WIN

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Use Chrome and open a with a long text field in a form. 2. Start typing and use the m, k or - key 3. The m, k and - key don't show up all of the time. 4. Force-reload the webpage and the problem usually clears up temporarily. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Since Feb. 2018 we have seen bug reports from our users that certain keys don't show up when they are typing in long text fields in forms on our site. I have been sporadically having the same problem. It has consistently been the 'm', 'k' and more recently the '-' key. We checked with all of the users that have reported and they are using Chrome and it is about equal with MacOS and Windows platforms. Typing in another program and pasting the text works. Force reloading the webpage usually works temporarily. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 66.0.3359.139 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.4 Flash Version: I found an old thread from 2013 that looked somewhat similar to the problem we are seeing but it has been closed.

Unable to reproduce the issue on mac 10.13.3 using chrome reported version #66.0.3359.139 and latest canary #68.0.3419.0. Attached a screen cast for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Used Chrome and opend a with a long text field in a form by navigating to url: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_textarea_form. 2. Started typing and used the m, k or - key. 3. Observed that all m, k and - keys worked without any issues. reporter@ - Could you please check the issue on latest canary #68.0.3419.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. If possible please provide any sample url/test file to test the issue from TE-end. Thanks...!!

Thank you. The next time this is happening, I'll grab a ScreenFlow capture and post to this thread. It usually happens a few times per week for me so I should be able to send something shortly. I don't think our users would know how to do a screen capture so you are probably waiting on me to have a report back. I'll also create a new clean profile too and use it for the next week with canary #68.0.3419.0. I actually only have one extension running (1Password) and no apps now. Bill
