Sync isn't working: Sign-in details are out of date

Reported by rdbiswa...@gmail.com, May 3 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_4) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/11.1 Safari/605.1.15

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Quit Google Chrome using Command+Q or menu bar
2. Reopen Chrome
3. Shows that sign in is required
4. Sign-in and quit again
5. Problem shows up again if Chrome is reopened

What is the expected behavior?
Account should not be signed out every time I quit Chrome

What went wrong?
Signing in every time Chrome is reopened is not a fun process. Works fine until it is quit. Quitting Chrome is a must sometimes as it drains a lot of battery.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (64-bit) Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.13.4
Flash Version: 29.0.0.140

Please look into the issue and kindly find a fix. Looked into some of the past issues. They are at least 3 years old by now. Chrome has changed a lot from then. No "Disconnect your Google account" is available. Other fixes don't seem to work.

rdbiswas97@gmail.com: Could you please take a screenshot of chrome://signin-internals when this happens again and attach it to this bug? Thank you.

rdbiswas97@ -- Request you to respond to Comment #6.

Thanks!
Sorry could not respond earlier.

I recently checked Chrome and found that it remains signed in even after I quit it with Commmand+Q.

Don't know if these are related but I'd still like to mention what happened right after I posted this issue. I had noticed that Google had signed me out of my Mac. I couldn't sign in from the "Internet Accounts" section. Had to remove the OS X sign-in from the 'signed-in devices' section in the Google Account Dashboard. After several tries, somehow got my Mac signed in.

After that Chrome seems to working fine as far as I know.

I'm still attaching the screenshot. Kindly look into the issue and take the necessary actions.

Thanks once again.
