Some apps are getting filtered out of the launcher that shouldn't be |

Issue descriptionThis is an overall tracking bug to keep track of what apps are either showing up in the launcher that shouldn't be or vice versa. First example: gnome-terminal doesn't show up because of: OnlyShowIn=GNOME;Unity;

We should make sure menu editors like 'alacarte' work properly. These editors can be used to enable/disable items in the launcher. They do this by adding the .desktop files to $HOME/.config/share/applications with the Hidden=true field set to disable the item.

Synaptic does not show up in the launcher because it is in the Settings category. But it is also in the PackageManager, GTK and System categories. So it should be reasonable to allow entries in the PackageManager category through IMO (but I won't bother with that until I've fixed the other issue with just launching synaptic).

Passwords and Keys (called seahorse.desktop) shows up in the menu after I installed evolution. It is in the following categories, so if we just add filtering for DesktopSettings it'll go away. Categories=GNOME;GTK;Security;Utility;DesktopSettings;X-XFCE-SettingsDialog; |
