Autocorrect randomly messes up corrections in content editable on Android

Issue descriptionExample URL: https://jsfiddle.net/d4tuch41/show/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. In a content editable div type cn 2. Tap the can autocorrect suggestion on the keyboard 3. Repeat multiple times and eventually it will autocorrect it to cnc What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? It gets the correction wrong. Looking at the events it seems to update the text and then fire the delete text event causing it to mess up. This seems to happen randomly and does happen with multiple words, just using cn -> can as an easy demo. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? I've just tried some other Android keyboards and I can't get it to happen with them so it looks like it is a keyboard issue. Reported to: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/79159355

Can reproduce with given test page or any contenteditable div, not on textarea or input box, with gboard on Pixel device. |
