Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. navigator.webkitPersistentStorage.requestQuota 2. grant permissions in the browser UI 3. reload page and see prompt again What is the expected behavior? No UI prompt after page refresh. No quota exceded error while file writing. What went wrong? UI choice in prompt has no really effect. Did this work before? Yes At least 65-0-3325-109 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 66.0.3359.126 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.0.0 Flash Version: I dont see any errors in callbacks. Quota just does not actually granted. When I am trying to write file - quota exceded error. I have installed v65-0-3325-109 and in this version there is no problem, everything works.

If you have less than 1 Gb of free space this could be related to issue #838816 .

Tested the issue using #66.0.3359.126 on Android Lenovo 6.0.1 and could not reproduce the issue as per the steps mentioned in original comment. No permission bubble is observed on refreshing. CC'ing @jsbell from the issue 838816 , somehow both looks to be same. Thanks!!

Can you try in 67? We reverted a change in 66 that would have reduced quota (as noted in #5)

Yes, this is about the Overly Strict Threshold. I have tried beta version chrome 67.0.3396.42. In this version the same problem remains. But in Canary 68.0.3430.2 there is no bug.

The fix should appear in 67.0.3396.44 - so next 67 revision. Tentatively resolving as Fixed, but please verify in that version. |
