Crash after reloading extensions

Issue descriptionUserAgent: TypeError: Cannot read property 'userAgent' of undefined Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create a chrome extensions which has a content script, a background page and which overrides new tab page 2. Open incognito window 3. Reload the extension while the incognito window is open 4. Close the incognito window 5. The chrome exits immediatelly 6. Then open chrome again 7. It says "Chrome didn't close correctly. Restore pages?" What is the expected behavior? No crash, of course. What went wrong? It is very hard to reproduce. I experienced it few times and still not sure what exactly caused it, but I'm pretty sure it is caused by extensions. It obviously requires some other conditions to overlap in order to cause crash. Unfortunatelly, crash reports were disabled when the crashes had happened, so I didn't obtain crash dumps and logs. In meanwhile I enabled crash reports, but now I cannot reproduce the crash. I'm opening this issue to see if anyone experienced anything similar and to see what may cause it. If I succeed to reproduce it, I'll post crash dump immediatelly. Crashed report ID: N/A How much crashed? Whole browser Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows 10 with chrome #66.0.3359.139 as per steps mentioned in comment #0 Note : After step 4, step 5:Condition didn't happened to me. Attaching the screen-cast for reference. hakerh403@ Could you please look into it and let us know your observations.

As I said, it is hard to reproduce. Seems to happen randomly and at random conditions. The last time it happened, my crash reports were disabled, so I currently don't have any crash dumps or logs. Now, there are two possible options: 1. Close this issue, since it lacks crash dumps and reproducible steps or 2. Leave this issue open until someone succeed to reproduce it and obtain a crash log

Thanks for the reply. As per C#5, closing this issue as Wontfix as it lacks crash dumps and reproducible steps. Please feel free to file a new chrome issue with consistent repro steps / latest crash id from chrome://crashes to triage from our end. |
