aleventhal@, please take a look at this to see if the root cause is in Chrome, Docs, or JAWS.

Related to 841505 Further note: Firefox + JAWS + brl support off: backspace/delete keys just make jaws say 'blank' without announcing the character it's deleting

Google Chrome 68.0.3432.3 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) (cohort: Dev) JAWS 2018.1805.33 Private Beta 64-bit English Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1607 I am able to delete characters if the virtual cursor is on, however, the virtual cursor should not be on for editing text. I am still unable to delete characters when the virtual cursor is off as recommended for editing.

Aaron, there is speculation about the root cause of this bug - screen reader, browser, or Docs version. Please help disambiguate, thanks! This is a potential blocking bug, we just need to know the source.

This is fixed in the next JAWS update, it's an error in their script. |
