 Description:

I'm trying to deflake a test that recently started flakying. An analysis of the failing test has already been started but it's been four days and the status still says running.

Not sure if the analysis is actually still running or it was unsuccessful but it's failing to update the status.

According to the logs this analysis was aborted manually 3 days ago by a Findit admin for some reason, though that should have been surfaced to the status (tracked in issue 830660 ).

I attempted to retrigger the analysis manually but that doesn't seem to be working either, investigating...

One extra detail I forgot: Before I realized an analysis was already started, I tried to start one from https://findit-for-me.appspot.com/. Maybe that caused it to cancel the previous one?
Hm that shouldn't cause a cancel, as currently only Findit admins are allowed to cancel analyses manually. Did anyone on here remember cancelling an analysis for whatever reason? Unfortunately the user who cancelled isn't stored in the analysis, and when I cancelled it again in an attempt to rerun it myself it overrode the previous cancel.

In any case, it seems we have another bug lurking where some analyses fail to rerun when manually requested: e.g.

https://findit-for-me.appspot.com/waterfall/flake?key=ag9zfmZpbmRpdC1mb3ItbWVyswELEhdNYXN0ZXJGbGFrZUFuYWx5c2lzUm9vdCJ9Y2hyb21pdW0uY2hyb21pdW1vcy9saW51eC1jaHJvbWVvcy1yZWwvNzQ1OS9jb250ZW50X2Jyb3dzZXJ0ZXN0cy9Rbkp2ZDNObGNsTnBaR1ZHYkdsdVowSnliM2R6WlhKVVpYTjBMa0YxZEc5elkzSnZiR3hHYkdsdVp3PT0MCxITTWFzdGVyRmxha2VBbmFseXNpcxgBDA

No, I didn't do anything to this analysis.

Comment 5 by st...@chromium.org, May 3 2018

We might want to add some debugging logs when an analysis is cancelled.
#3: any bug I can start for not being able to rerun the canceled analysis?
