Wacom Intuos CTL 4100 not detected in ChromeOS Asus c302

Reported by bmor...@mgtutor.com, Apr 28 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10323.67.5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.209 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10323.67.5 (Official Build) stable-channel cave

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Plug in Wacom Intuos CTL 4100
2. Check for basic mouse functionality (move cursor and clicks)
3. See if movement and actions happen.

What is the expected behavior?
The Intuos CTL 4100 should be recognized by ChromeOS as a HID and work as a basic mouse with movement and click abilities. Pressure sensitivity and other driver-related functions are not expected.

What went wrong?
Intuos CTL 4100 is not detected by ChromeOS.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 65.0.3325.209 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10323.67.5
Flash Version: 29.0.0.113

Other users have reported basic mouse functionalities working on other Chromebook devices and this particular one and/or older Intuos models.

Components: IO>HID
Have this issue on CTL-6100WL too.
Confirmed that the wacom module appears in lsmod list after plugging in the tablet.
wacom module version: 2.00.
Chromebook model: Lenovo N23.
Chrome: 68.0.2440.118
Platform: 10718.88.2 (Officia Build) stable-channel reks
Firmware: Goole_Reks.7287.133.103
Customisation ID: LENOVO-REKS3

Also installed Crouton and did not get basic mouse sensitivity. Did not try
upgrading driver as yet.
I also have this problem with the CTL-4100 on an Acer R11. Chromeos: 70.0.3538.110
