Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3410.2 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Type "chromium" into the omnibox. 2. Select the text in the omnibox. What is the expected behavior? The blue highlighting of the selected text is equally close to the top of the omnibox as the bottom. What went wrong? The blue highlighting of the selected text is closer to the top of the omnibox than the bottom. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 68.0.3410.2 Channel: canary OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version:

Thanks for filing the issue! Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 68.0.3410.2 and on the latest canary 68.0.3417.0 using Windows 7 and Windows 10. Note: The issue is not seen on Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.13.1 As the issue is seen from M60(60.0.3112.0) considering it as Non-Regression and marking it as Untriaged.

Can confirm that this odd Selection positioning appears on both Linux and Windows, for both normal and the Refresh look. We should fix it as part of the Material Refresh overhaul.
