Outlook email hyperlink crashes Chrome

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click on hyperlink in Outlook (2016) 
2. Chrome is set as default browser
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
Browser opens link successfully

What went wrong?
Chrome launches but crashes with "Aw Snap", etc. 

Crashed report ID: No

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? Yes Don't know.  

Chrome version: 65.0.3325.181  Channel: stable
OS Version: 8
Flash Version: 

Started on my work computer about a year ago. IT help desk unable to resolve. Win8, Surface Pro, Outlook 2016. This week started happening on my home computer: Wind10, AIO.
